Favourite HS Volleyball moment:
I would have to say Volleyfest in my grade 12 year; we had to play the quarterfinal, semifinal and final back to back to back. We ended up losing to Carmanville in the final but they were three exciting matches in a row and our entire team took their game to another level during that stretch.
Favourite Provincial Team Moment:
NTCC's in 2006, we had an 8th place finish but we were able to knock off some Western teams and were definitely the most competitive team Newfoundland has sent to that tournament.
Favourite University Volleyball Moment:
I'd have to say last year's AUS playoffs versus UNB. We dropped the first game of the best of three series 3-1 on our home court and had to go into UNB's gym to steal a win. Our backs were against the wall and the fans were crazy but we managed to win that game 3-1 and then the final game of the series 3-0 on our home court. It was definitely the most intense and fun volleyball I have ever played.
What's on your iPod:
I'm really into rap and old school hip-hop, but lately I've really been feeling that new Kid Cudi day n night track
Quote for future NL Volleyball players:
Don't let where you are from affect your dreams. Hard work, dedication and sacrifice will take you where you want to go, so anything is possible!
