Krista Parsons

What position do you play?

Middle Blocker

What degree are you pursuing?

Business

What High School did you attend and who was your coach?

Queen Elizabeth Regional High; Terry Mosher

What is your favorite High School Volleyball moment?

Winning the 4 A Championship for the third year in a row. It was my final year playing for Mr. Mosher, so it was a great way to end my high school volleyball career. I owe the majority of my athletic ability to Mr. Mosher, he was an incredible coach.

What is your favorite Provincial Team moment?

Winning the Atlantic Championship in my last year of provincial program eligibility. We played against the #1 Quebec team and it went to three sets. Every other team was there cheering us on. It was one of the most incredible moments as a young athlete.

As a Provincial Team Coach what was your favorite part of the program?

Seeing the kids I coach improve throughout the summer. The trip is so much fun and you get to know the other young athletes from across the Province on all teams. It feels good to give something back to the program that brought me to where I am today as a volleyball player.

What is your favorite University Volleyball moment?

Defeating Dalhousie last season at the Dalplex. It was a huge upset and what made it even more exciting was that it went down to the wire in the fifth set. Apparently MUN hadn't defeated Dalhousie at the Dalplex in over ten years. It was an amazing match!

Please give us a quote for future volleyball players in NL.

It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to become an elite athlete at the University level. It's not always fun and definitely not easy, but I wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now and certainly wouldn't trade the memories and friends I've made along the way for anything in this world.
