Tryouts for Canada Games 2013 Female Indoor Volleyball Program:
All athletes must register at www.nlva.net for tryouts, registration begins on Tuesday, November 1st, 2011. Canada Games age for 2013 Female Indoor Volleyball is born in 1993 or later.
Tryout Dates:
Tryout Cost is $25.00 per athlete, to be paid at the On-Court session to the Canada Games coaching staff. Athletes need to register using the links above prior to attending sessions, registration will open on October 31st, 2011.
Avalon:
Fitness Testing - November 6th, 12:00pm-2:00pm, NL Sports Centre, Crosbie Rd, St. John's
Identification Session (on court) - November 10th, 6:00-9:00pm, MacDonald Drive Jr. High, MacDonald Dr, St. John's
Eastern:
Fitness Testing - November 9th, 6:00-7:30pm, Clarenville High School, Clarenville
Identification Session (on court) - November 11th, 11:00am-2:00pm, Clarenville High School, Clarenville
Central:
Fitness Testing - November 9th, 7:30-9:00pm, Leo Burke Academy, Bishops Falls
Identification Session (on court) - November 11th, 6:00pm - 9:00pm, Leo Burke Academy, Bishops Falls
Western:
Fitness Testing - November 6th, 12:00pm-3:00pm, Corner Brook High, Corner Brook
Identification Session (on court) - November 12th, 2:00pm-5:00pm, Grenfell College, Corner Brook
Labrador:
Athletes in the Labrador Region that are interested in trying out for the 2013 Canada Games Women's Volleyball Program, please contact the coaching staff at meganconroy@esdnl.ca.
Important Notes:
Fitness Testing will be conducted by Canada Games coaching staff members or Regional Directors. Interested athletes must attend a fitness testing session.
Identification sessions will be conducted by the Canada Games Coaching Staff at each location, interested athletes must attend a tryout in one region.
If an athlete cannot make a tryout in their region they may travel to another region to attend.
Athletes participating at the CIS level are asked to contact the coaching staff at meganconroy@esdnl.ca to communicate interest in participation.
All tryout sessions are closed except athletes trying out. If a coach wishes to view the tryout process, please contact the coaching staff at meganconroy@esdnl.ca to discuss.
